• Pump house construction: Our team was responsible for constructing a functional pump house that met all the necessary structural and operational requirements
• Drainage & ducting: We installed all the drainage associated with the pump house and ducting
• External works package: The external works included:
  • 350m² of full road construction.
  • 200m² of permeable block paving.
  • 300m² of soft landscaping.

Challenges

• Uncertainty of previous contractor’s progress: One of the main challenges was taking over the project from a previous contractor, which left us with little knowledge of how much had been completed. This created an added layer of uncertainty, requiring thorough assessments to determine what still needed to be done
• Tight programme: The project was on a tight timeline, and with the unknown progress from the previous contractor, we had to act quickly and efficiently to meet the deadlines

To address the challenges, we employed a systematic approach:

• Detailed site assessment: Upon taking over the project, we conducted a comprehensive site assessment using a GPR survey to evaluate what had been completed and identify any gaps. This assessment allowed us to adjust our approach and create a plan to move forward effectively
• Efficient task execution: With the scope of work clearly defined and a structured schedule in place, we were able to execute the tasks in an organised manner, minimising delays and ensuring that all work was carried out to a high standard
